This guide is designed for charities using GiveWise to support their donors in making gifts through GiveWise. Charities are welcome to copy, adapt & share. Be sure to insert your correct information.

We’re grateful for your generosity. To make giving as easy and seamless as possible, we partner with GiveWise Foundation Canada to securely process donations through our GiveGenius Button.

Below are the two most common ways to give, along with helpful tips and support options.

1. Easiest Way to Give: The GiveGenius Button

You can give directly from our website using our GiveGenius Button or using the link below :

[Insert Charity GiveGenius Giving Link]

From this link, you can choose the donation method that works best for you, including: Securities, Donor-advised fund (DAF) contributions, Cryptocurrency, and more.

Simply follow the on-screen steps and your donation will be securely directed to our Charity.

2. Giving Through Your GiveWise Giving Fund

If you already have a GiveWise Giving Fund, donations are completed in two steps:

Step 1: Contribute to Your Giving Fund

Add funds to your Giving Fund using your preferred method.

Step 2: Grant to Our Organization

A contribution to your Giving Fund does not automatically send a donation to us. You’ll need to complete the second step to direct your gift.

To donate from your Giving Wallet:

  1. Log in at https://fund.givewise.ca/loginarrow-up-right

  2. Click the Give tab at the top

  3. Search for Charity Name

  4. Enter your gift amount and complete the donation

Tax Receipt Access

To access your tax receipt, donors are prompted to create a free GiveWise Giving Account using the same email address entered at the time of donation.

Once your gift has been processed:

  • Your receipt will be securely stored in your Giving Account

  • You can access and download it at any time

  • All future donations will also be available in one place
